Airtel Payments Bank Crosses ₹3,000 Cr in Annualised Revenue; Reports ₹777.4 Cr Q1 FY26 Revenue

Airtel Payments Bank today announced its financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025, delivering another strong performance. The Bank’s annualised revenue crossed ₹3,000 crore, making it one of the fastest-growing digital banks in the country. For Q1 FY26, Airtel Payments Bank reported revenue of ₹777.4 crore, up 27.5% year-on-year, while net profit rose 44.4% to ₹10.4 crore. EBITDA stood at ₹81.8 crore, reflecting a 30% YoY growth driven by strong operating performance and rapid customer adoption.

 

Customer deposits grew 27.2% year-on-year to ₹3,743 crore, and the Bank’s annualised gross merchandise value (GMV) stood at ₹4,260 billion. Airtel Payments Bank has solidified its position as the third-largest mobile bank in India by user base, reflecting a deepening of customer engagement across both urban and rural segments.

The Bank continues to see rising adoption of its Safe Second Account, a differentiated offering with no minimum balance tailored for secure, everyday digital payments.  Innovative digital controls such as account sleep mode, user defined transaction limits and fraud alerts, along with AI powered protection models, have driven this adoption.

 

Airtel Payments Bank is also now the leading issuer of RuPay On-The-Go NCMC cards, with over 3.3 million users leveraging the card for seamless transit payments across major metro networks.

 

Airtel Payments Bank today operates 500,000 active banking points, with 20% led by women banking correspondents in Tier-3 and beyond. To enhance customer experience further, the Bank has also introduced physical passbooks for account holders. Serving Urban Digital, Underbanked, and Institutional customers, the Bank processes nearly 12 billion transactions annually and digitises over ₹8,800 crore of cash every month through 6,200+ corporate partners. The Bank is seeing a strong growth in omnichannel B2B digital payments with top payments aggregators.
