Disability Rights Association extends support to Jawaharnagar resident; welfare benefits to be facilitated

Jawaharnagar, Medchal  – Malkajgiri, July 11: The Disability Rights Association extended assistance to a paralysis patient, Bhavani Shankar, a resident of Karmik Nagar in Jawaharnagar, who has been bedridden for the past two years due to paralysis and spinal ailments.
Responding to his condition, the association’s State General Secretary Merugu Shivakrishna handed over a Medical Disability Certificate and a wheelchair to the patient. He said the disability certificate would enable Bhavani Shankar to avail government welfare schemes, including the disability pension and other benefits.
Speaking on the occasion, Merugu Shivakrishna said extending support to the poor, persons with disabilities, and those suffering from serious illnesses is a social responsibility. He stressed that humanitarian service is the true path to serving society.
The programme was attended by Balagam TV CEO Chintala Vijay Kumar, Star news TV9 journalist Jinuka Raghu, BJP Karmik Nagar Vice-President Madhyaboyina Raju, and others.
