A Grand Success at ‘Vaagdevi College’ of Engineering with National-Level Fest and Industrial Visit

The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at Vaagdevi College of Engineering successfully organized VIDYUTHON–2K26, a five-day National-Level Techno-Cultural Fest held from 23rd to 27th February 2026, alongside an industrial visit to the 132/33KV Substation in Inavolu on 28th February 2026 . The event showcased innovation, technical expertise, and vibrant student participation. It was announced that more than 250 registrations were received from different states and various colleges and departments, reflecting the wide reach and significance of the event. The smooth conduct of the program was ensured by the dedicated efforts of Student Coordinators G. Vishnu Vardhan, M. Shashidhar, K. Manasa, and B. Sathwika.
Day 1 featured a workshop on Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning conducted by training expert Mr. Nawaz Syed, who explained fundamental concepts, industry requirements, real-time applications, and future opportunities in AI–ML. Day 2 was dedicated to a hands-on AI–ML workshop, providing students with practical exposure to model development and data analysis. Day 3 featured a Hackathon, Ideathon, and Project Expo, encouraging students to present innovative ideas and technical solutions. Day 4 included events such as a Technical Quiz, Poster Presentation, Paper Presentation, and Circuit Debugging Challenge, which tested participants’ technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities. Day 5 witnessed enthusiastic participation in Sports Events, followed by Cultural and Co-curricular Activities that added color and vibrancy to the fest. The celebrations culminated in an energetic DJ Night, where the Vaagdevi campus resonated with music and excitement, marking a memorable conclusion to the five-day event.
The valedictory ceremony was graced, Principal Dr. K. Prakash, Vice Principal Dr. K. Thirupathi Rao, Academic Dean Dr. P. Srinivasulu, and Head of the EEE Department Mr. P. Purna Chander Rao. Vaagdevi College’s Director Dr. Ch. Vani Devi, Mr. Ch. Viswambhara Reddy, and Rohitha Reddy attended the event from the management. The dignitaries appreciated the EEE Department for the successful organization of the event and commended the enthusiasm, creativity, and innovative spirit displayed by the students.
The chief guests congratulated all the participants, and prizes and certificates were distributed to the winners. The Event Faculty Coordinator, Mr. B. Nagaraju, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the management, Principal, Vice Principal, Academic Dean, Head of the Department, EEE teaching and non-teaching staff, and student coordinators for their encouragement and unwavering support.
The valedictory evening marked a significant milestone in the five-day celebration, reflecting the collective efforts of the department, faculty members, students, and management in making VIDYUTHON–2K26 a grand success.
