The traditional Ankurarpanam ceremony for the annual Vasanthotsavams of Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanoor was conducted with religious fervor on Saturday evening. The rituals, including Punyahavachanam, Rakshabandhanam, Ankurarpanam, and Senadhipathi Utsavam, took place from 6 PM to 7:30 PM.
The annual Vasanthotsavams at Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple are scheduled to be held from May 11th to 13th. Devotees can participate in the Vasanthotsavams by paying a fee of ₹150/- per person.
As part of the festivities, Snapana Tirumanjanam will be performed for the Utsava deities of the Goddess at the Friday Gardens (Sukravara Thota) from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM for all three days. Additionally, the Goddess will be taken out in a procession along the four main streets surrounding the temple from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, providing darshan to the devotees. The grand Swarna Rathotsavam (Golden Chariot festival) is scheduled to be held on May 12th at 9:45 AM.
