Vikasnagar: Jan Sangharsh Morcha President and former Vice President of GMVN Raghunath Singh Negi while talking to journalists said that nowadays the electricity department is cutting the connections of electricity consumers who have dues of 2-4 thousand rupees.
On the other hand, the department is shying away from taking action against government departments, big industrialists/big businessmen who have dues of lakhs of rupees.
He said that this double standard in the state is definitely showing that the whip will fall only on the poor! The only fault of the poor consumer is that he could not pay one or two due bills due to some compulsion.
Negi said that it is very unfortunate that the government is blaming the consumers for its failure in reducing line losses.
He said that the electricity department should stop discrimination and double standards. Dilbag Singh and Praveen Sharma Pinni were present in the press conference.
