In light of recent elephant movements observed in the Tirupati region and under the explicit instructions of Deputy Chief Minister and PCCF(HoFF),K. Pawan Kalyan the Forest Department has established a dedicated Elephant Task Force. This proactive measure aims to continuously monitor elephant movements and implement effective preventive strategies to safeguard both our communities and the local wildlife.The Task Force, comprising a dedicated team led by the DFO, Tirupati, along with the DFO, Chittoor, the Squad DFO, Piler, the Squad DFO, Tirupati, and respective Forest Range Officers, will work collaboratively across various government departments. These include the Police, Revenue, Panchayat Raj, Electricity, and Medical departments, ensuring a coordinated approach to prevent crop damage, mitigate potential conflicts, and ensure the safety and well-being of all residents.priority of Elephant task force is to prevent any instances of human-elephant conflict and ensure the safety of both our communities and the precious wildlife in our region. This Task Force represents a significant step towards achieving this goal through continuous monitoring and swift implementation of preventive measures.”We urge all residents, especially those residing in villages bordering the forest areas, to remain highly vigilant.
