Indofast Energy establishes network of 1,000 battery swap stations across India in record-time

Indofast Energy, India’s leading battery-swapping solutions provider, has announced the commissioning of its 1000th battery swap station, marking the country’s fastest establishment of such an extensive EV charging infrastructure network. With the latest station now operational in Mumbai’s Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Railway station, the company has successfully created a nationwide infrastructure that supports widespread adoption of electric mobility at an unprecedented scale and pace. This remarkable milestone demonstrates Indofast Energy’s unparalleled speed of execution, operational excellence and strategic vision towards addressing the critical infrastructure needs of India’s growing EV ecosystem.

Indofast extensive network now covers 10 states and 22 cities nationwide, creating a comprehensive infrastructure that serves India’s most critical mobility hubs with Delhi NCR leading with 332 stations, followed by Bengaluru with 259 stations, and Hyderabad with 124 stations. As India’s gig economy experiences unprecedented growth, Indofast Energy’s swift expansion into high-demand corridors and emerging markets has revolutionized delivery operations across quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery sectors. The network has facilitated an impressive 39 million+ battery swaps to date, enabling 50,000+ electric vehicles to collectively travel more than 1.06 billion kilometres—equivalent to circling the Earth over 26,000 times. Cumulatively, this has resulted in approximately 55,000 metric tonnes of tailpipe CO₂ emissions avoided, demonstrating the significant environmental impact of Indofast Energy’s growing infrastructure.
