Medipally police along with the Uppal CCS team apprehended an interstate professional and notorious offender involved in a robbery case registered under Crime No. 320/2026, Sections 331(4) and 309(4). The accused has been identified as Maddela Harikrishna alias Hari (39), son of Satyam. He is a native of Yanamala Kunduru, Lakulu area, Vijayawada, and also associated with Katapuram village in Thadwai, Warangal district. According to police, the accused recently robbed an elderly woman at Swaroop Nagar by threatening her and forcibly taking away gold jewellery. Acting on credible information, Medipally Police and the Uppal CCS team conducted an operation and apprehended the accused. Police investigation revealed that Harikrishna is a habitual offender involved in more than 25 criminal cases across both Telugu states. After the arrest, he was produced before the court and remanded to Cherlapally Central Jail. Further investigation in the case is in progress.
