Sri Padmavati Ammavari Vasanthotsavam from May 11 to 13 •Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam on May 6 •Golden chariot on May 12
The annual Vasanthotsavam will be held grandly from May 11 to 13 at the Sri Padmavati Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanur. For this, the Ankurarpan will be held on May 10 at 6 pm. Devotees can participate in the Vasanthotsavam by paying Rs. 150/- each.
As part of the festivities, the Swarna Rathotsavam will be held at 9.45 am on May 12. On the three days of the Vasanthotsavam, a Snapans Thirumanjanam will be held for the Ammavari Utsavars in the garden on Friday from 2.30 pm to 4.30 pm. From 7.30 pm to 8.30 pm, Ammavaru Procession will be held three days in four mada streets.
*Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam on May 6*
Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will be held in the temple on May 6 to commemorate the annual Vasanthovas of Sri Padmavati Goddess. The goddess will be woken up with suprabatham and Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam will be held from 6 am to 9 am. In this, the temple premises, walls, ceiling, puja accessories and other items will be purified with water. Holy water mixed with namakopu, sri churnam, kasturi turmeric, pachaaku, solid camphor, sandalwood powder, kumkuma, kichiligadda and other spices will be sprinkled throughout the temple. Devotees will be allowed to have darshan of the goddess from 9 am.
Due to these celebrations, TTD has canceled the Kalyanotsavam and Sahasradeepalankara services from May 6th and May 10th to 13th.
