

Medipally: Telangana IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu said that temples play an important role in promoting spirituality in society. The idol installation and Dhwajasthambam (flagstaff) consecration ceremony of the newly constructed Sri Bhoo and Neela Sametha Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple at P&T Colony in Medipally, under Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation limits, was held on Friday amid Vedic chants and devotional fervor. On the occasion, the Kalyana Mahotsavam of Sri Bhoo and Neela Sametha Sri Venkateswara Swamy was performed in a grand manner, attracting a large number of devotees. Residents of the colony as well as people from nearby localities attended the event and witnessed the ceremonial wedding of the deity. IT Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, former minister Chamakura Malla Reddy, DCC President Thotakura Vajresh Yadav, and former mayor Jakka Venkat Reddy participated in the programme and offered special prayers at the temple. Speaking on the occasion, Sridhar Babu and Chamakura Malla Reddy said that temple committee members should take necessary steps to preserve the sanctity of the temple. They also appreciated the efforts of the temple management in developing the temple.
