Dammaiguda: A man caught driving under the influence of alcohol at Dammaiguda Junction in Medchal–Malkajgiri district has been sentenced to three days in jail by a court. According to Jawahar Nagar Traffic Circle Inspector Shiva Shankar, drunken driving checks were conducted by Jawahar Nagar traffic police at Dammaiguda Junction on the night of the 21st of last month. During the checks, a man identified as Parlapelli Uday Raj, a resident of Dammaiguda, was caught riding a motorcycle after consuming alcohol. In connection with the case, the accused was produced on Friday before the Fifth Special Class Magistrate Court at Kushaiguda. After hearing the case, Magistrate Srinivas Rao sentenced him to three days of imprisonment.
