Farmers urged to use the new digital platform and complete Farmer Registry for fertiliser purchases

Medchal-Malkajgiri, July 8: District Collector Mikkilineni Manu Choudary conducted a surprise inspection at Sheik Chand Fertiliser Shop in Shamirpet to review the implementation of the pilot online fertiliser booking system introduced through the Central Government’s Framework for Fertilizer (F4F) App.
During the inspection, the Collector reviewed the functioning of the application and observed the online fertiliser booking process. He instructed officials to ensure that farmers are guided to purchase fertilisers through the digital platform and stressed that every farmer should complete the Farmer Registry, which is mandatory for accessing fertiliser supplies through the app.
The Collector said the initiative is aimed at improving transparency, streamlining fertiliser distribution, and ensuring timely availability of fertilisers to farmers.
Officials informed the Collector that 3,598 fertiliser bookings have been made through the app in Medchal-Malkajgiri district so far, enabling the distribution of 753 metric tonnes of fertilisers to farmers.
District Agriculture Officer Chandrakala, Mandal Agriculture Officer Ramesh, Agriculture Extension Officer Srinath, fertiliser dealers, and farmers were present during the inspection.
