Social activists demand immediate completion of pending infrastructure works

Medchal, July 8: Social activists have demanded the immediate completion of pending development works at the SC Madiga crematorium in Keesara village, alleging a severe lack of basic amenities.

Former Keesara Gram Panchayat Ward Member Tudum Srinivas, along with Kuntolla Satyanarayana, General Secretary of Sri Bangaru Maisamma Temple, and Erra Sailu, visited the crematorium on Tuesday to inspect the facilities.

Speaking on the occasion, they said that despite submitting several representations to the concerned authorities over the past few months, no concrete action had been taken to address the issues.

They pointed out that incomplete bathing rooms and water facilities, the absence of separate bathing arrangements for women, lack of greenery, inadequate compound wall height, damaged entrance gates, absence of sanitary toilets, and the non-availability of a waiting room or shelter for bereaved families were causing considerable hardship during funeral ceremonies.

The activists urged the authorities to inspect the site immediately and complete all pending works without further delay. They warned that if the issues remain unresolved, local residents would launch a large-scale public protest.
