Cash Awards of ₹2,016 Presented to 23 Journalists
Kapra: Ugadi celebrations were held on a grand scale at the Kapra Press Club on Thursday. The program began with special prayers performed by the club members. Priest Sridhar Pantulu later conducted the Ugadi Panchanga Sravanam, explaining the forecasts and significance of the new Telugu year. On the occasion, 23 journalists associated with the club were each presented with a cash award of ₹2,016. In a move aimed at supporting journalists’ welfare, the club also decided to pay ESI premiums every month on behalf of its members.
