Directs BLOs and BLAs to ensure transparent voter roll revision and assist eligible voters
Uppal, July 14: Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy inspected the ongoing Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls at Nehru Nagar in Mallapur Division.
During the visit, the MLA held a meeting with Booth Level Officers (BLOs) and Booth Level Agents (BLAs), directing them to conduct the revision process transparently and in accordance with the Election Commission’s guidelines. He instructed officials to ensure that no genuine voter faces inconvenience and that every application is carefully scrutinised.
Lakshma Reddy also asked officials to distribute SIR application forms to all eligible voters, create awareness about the revision process, and ensure that the completed forms are submitted within the stipulated time. Emphasising that the right to vote is a cornerstone of democracy, he called upon officials and party representatives to work in coordination to ensure that every eligible citizen is included in the electoral rolls.
