Forum urges government to ensure transparent recognition and welfare for genuine statehood activists

Medchal – Malkajgiri, july 13: Former Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) Convener and Telangana Activists Forum State Media Convener Dommati Kiran Kumar Rao, along with Keerthi Srinivas, Surender Reddy, Garika Sudhakar, Bangaru Mallesh, and Veera Chary, appealed to the State Government to provide comprehensive social security to Telangana statehood activists. The delegation urged the government to identify genuine Telangana movement activists through a transparent process rather than a political approach. They said issuing identity cards alone would not be sufficient and called for reforms in education, healthcare, and financial assistance to support activists and families who sacrificed their livelihoods during the Telangana statehood movement. The leaders made the appeal during a meeting of the High-Level Committee constituted for the identification and welfare of Telangana movement activists. The meeting, chaired by K. Keshava Rao, was attended by committee members Prof. M. Kodandaram, Addanki Dayakar, S. Ramulu Naik, and Mothe Shobhan Reddy, to whom the memorandum was submitted.
