Telangana Police have once again taken a tough stance on cybercrimes. A large scale gang involved in fake calls and online scams across India has been busted by the authorities. 25 Cybercriminals Arrested,
Based on information received by the Cyber Crime Police, an investigation led to the arrest of 25 individuals who were the main accused in 66 cases. The gang had operations spanning multiple states. The arrested individuals hail from Andhra Pradesh, Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, and Maharashtra.
Involved in 453 Cyber Fraud, Cases Nationwide. Investigations revealed their involvement in 453 cyber fraud cases across the country. During the arrests, police seized 1 lakh in cash, 34 mobile phones, 20 checkbooks, 17 debit cards, and 8 SIM cards. Upon interrogation, the accused confessed to opening multiple bank accounts and stealing money through phishing, fake WhatsApp links, and phone scams. This is a significant success for the Telangana Cyber Crime Department. Police have once again issued a public warning, urging people not to fall for unknown calls, suspicious links or seemingly lucrative offers.
