A felicitation meeting was held on Monday at Solis Eye Care Hospital in ECIL after Nandanampati Ramu received the “Annadana Seva Chakravarti” award. Speakers at the event said Ramu has been setting an example by actively participating in various social service activities. As part of the Shani Peyarchi festival held on March 6, 7 and 8 at the famous Dharbaranyeswara Swamy Temple in Thirunallar, Puducherry, an annadanam program was organized under the leadership of Nandanampati Ramu through Tulasamma Charitable Foundation and Solis Hospital. Around two lakh devotees were served free meals during the three-day festival. Ramu said the annadanam program was organized for the fifth time with the intention of serving devotees. On this occasion, the “Annadana Seva Chakravarti” award was presented to him by the 27th Peethadhipathi of the temple, Sri La Sri Kailai Masilamani Desika Gnana Sambandha Paramacharya Swamigal. Speakers said distributing food to the poor and devotees reflects strong humanitarian values. They stated that any number of awards would be insufficient to recognise his contribution to social service. They also expressed hope that such service activities would continue on a larger scale in the future. Former Kapra corporator Kotta Rama Rao, Solis Eye Care staff members Vijayender Reddy, Mahesh, Vijayalakshmi, Bhaskar, Gajender, Mohan, and Neeraja participated in the program and congratulated Nandanampati Ramu.
