Cases booked against violators; crackdown on illegal parking and footpath encroachments to continue

KUSHAIGUDA, Medchal July 8: The Uppal Traffic Division of the Malkajgiri Commissionerate conducted a special enforcement drive on Tuesday evening to remove traffic obstructions and improve vehicular movement along the busy stretch from Radhika X Roads to Canara Junction via A.S. Rao Nagar.
The drive, led by ACP K. Sampath Kumar, began at 5:30 p.m. and focused on clearing footpath encroachments, carriageway encroachments, and unauthorized parking. Cases were registered against violators under Section 41 of the Hyderabad City Police Act and Section 39(B) of the relevant traffic regulations. Action was also initiated against vehicles parked in No Parking Zones.
During the drive, the ACP interacted with footpath vendors and owners of commercial establishments, directing them to remove encroachments immediately and ensure that customers do not park vehicles in a manner that obstructs the free flow of traffic.
The Traffic Police issued a public advisory urging commercial establishments to prevent illegal parking in front of their premises and requesting street vendors not to occupy footpaths or carriageways. Officials warned that strict legal action would be taken against violators.
The department said similar enforcement drives will be conducted regularly to ensure smooth traffic flow and enhance road safety. The operation was attended by Delta-1, Delta-2, Sub-Inspectors, and other personnel of the Kushaiguda Traffic Police Station.
