Today, 7th November 2025 is a day of great pride for our nation. The song ‘Vande Mataram’, which inspired our freedom fighters and ignited patriotism in our hearts, completes 150 glorious years. This patriotic song was written by Bankim Chandra Chatterjee in 1875. In those days, singing this song was an act of defiance against British rule. Brave freedom fighters who took part in the independence movement sang it fearlessly, even sacrificing their lives for the nation. That is why the two words ‘Vande Mataram’ will forever fill us with pride. The government is celebrating this historic centenary across the country. Today, at 9:50 am, we all joined together in singing ‘Vande Mataram’ to honor our nation. It is heartening to see that this program is being conducted in every office, every school and every village across our state. It brings immense joy that we too are actively participating in our own village. Our India is our mother. She has given us everything land, water, air, culture and dignity. This is a sacred moment to bow before that divine mother. ‘Vande Mataram’ means ‘O Mother, O Motherland We bow to you’.
