The Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam was conducted with great fervor at the Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple in Tiruchanoor on Tuesday as per agamasastra. As part of the program, Sri Padmavathi Ammavaru was awakened with Suprabhata seva, followed by Sahasranamarchana and purification rituals. Subsequently, the Koil Alwar Thirumanjanam took place from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM. During this ritual, the temple premises, walls, ceilings, pooja materials, and other articles were first cleansed with water. Following this, a sacred mixture of fragrant substances such as Namakopu, Srichurnam, Kasturi Turmeric, green leaves, Gadda Karpooram (camphor), sandalwood powder, Kumkum, and Kichiligadda was sprinkled throughout the temple. Devotees were then allowed for Sarva Darshanam (general darshan).

On this occasion, the temple’s Senior Archaka (priest) Babu Swamy stated that the annual Vasanthotsavam (spring festival) of Sri Padmavathi Ammavari Temple will be held from May 11th to 13th. He informed that the Ankurarpanam (ceremonial commencement) for this festival will be performed on the evening of May 10th at 6:00 PM. During the three days of Vasanthotsavam, Snapana Thirumanjanam (holy bath) will be performed for the Utsava deities of the Goddess at the Friday Gardens from 2:30 PM to 4:30 PM. Every night from 7:30 PM to 8:30 PM, the Goddess will grace the four main streets surrounding the temple, bestowing her blessings upon the devotees.
