Shivanand calls for caution amid heavy rains to prevent electrocution accidents
Kapra: TNSF State Secretary Shivanand has appealed to the public to stay away from electric poles, hanging power lines and transformers during the ongoing heavy rains, warning that waterlogging could increase the risk of electrocution.
Referring to the recent death of a youth due to an alleged electricity leakage in Tonk district of Rajasthan, Shivanand urged people to remain vigilant and immediately inform electricity department officials if they notice damaged power lines or suspected leakage.
He also advised students and commuters to exercise extra caution while travelling during the rainy season and avoid contact with electric poles, transformers and snapped power lines in waterlogged areas.
