TWJF Demands Action Over Alleged Attack on Journalist in Keesara

Federation urges police to ensure protection for media persons and take legal action against accused

Keesara, July 15:  Leaders of the Telangana Working Journalists Federation (TWJF), Medchal District, urged the Keesara Police to take legal action against those allegedly involved in threatening and attacking the residence of a local journalist.

According to the federation, Surya Velugu reporter Shiva Reddy had recently published a news report highlighting the alleged encroachment of a public road in Kundan Manisha Colony, where an individual reportedly placed large stones on the roadway, causing inconvenience and posing a risk to commuters.

TWJF leaders alleged that, following the publication of the report, the property owner and a group of associates threatened the journalist and later attacked his residence. A representation seeking legal action against the accused was submitted to the police.

The delegation included TWJF State leader Gummadi Prasad, Medchal District President Mallesh Goud, General Secretary Banavath Ravi Nayak, and members Vishnu, Satyam, N. Srinivas Reddy (NSR), Balakrishna, Narasimha, and Srikanth.
