Awareness programme on road safety, cybercrime, SHE Teams and drug abuse conducted for students
Medipally, July 15: As part of a community policing initiative, 100 CCTV cameras were inaugurated at BMRS School in Chengicherla, Medipally, to enhance the safety and security of students and the school campus.
On the occasion, police conducted an awareness programme on road safety rules, cybercrime prevention, SHE Teams, women’s safety, and drug abuse. Students were educated on responsible road usage, online safety, and the harmful effects of narcotic substances.
An interactive session was also held with the school management and students to understand their concerns and discuss measures for improving safety in and around the campus.
The programme was attended by Uppal DCP Suresh Kumar (IPS), Medipally ACP, DI Election Reddy, Medipally Inspector of Police, Sector SI, school management, teachers, and students. The initiative highlighted the police department’s commitment to community policing and creating a safe environment for educational institutions.
