There are five or six major religions in India. Among them, there is one party that keeps claiming that, for some reason, only Hinduism is in danger. Do the other religions have Z-plus security? If so, who gave it to them? It makes me laugh when some people call out, ‘Hindus, wake up’. The truth is that there is no need to wake Hindus up. There is no need to wake Muslims up either. For that matter, there is no need to awaken followers of any religion. Everyone needs to come together, recognize that ‘we are human beings’, and awaken their humanity. This is not something limited to any one country. It is the task that humanity across the world must undertake. No Hindu was responsible for the war that took place on the plains of Karbala. Likewise, no Muslim was responsible for the Mahabharata war. Therefore, there is no benefit in blaming or abusing others. All that is needed is for people to identify the destroyers of religion within their own communities and transform them into human beings.
Our country’s leaders have created such a Hindustan that even ancient monuments without tongues have been turned into Hindus and Muslims, as though they were living human beings. A large vehicle loaded with two thousand cowhides was found in Indore. When the police investigated their origins, they found the names of some Maulanas. The companies had been opened under names such as Ram Bhajan Upadhyay, Umesh Mishra, and Ravi Sharma, and it was once again proven that it was the ruling party’s leaders who were exporting beef across the world.
● The magic of words – the rulers’ ways.
Apparently, a man in this country has five characteristics. Based on them, people have given him five names. Jhootheshwar, Looteshwar, Jumlaeshwar, Thageshwar, and Dakeshwar. Everyone knows who he is. But nobody dares to speak up, thinking, why invite unnecessary trouble? If someone asks, ‘What creature in this country keeps changing its words every mile, changes its clothes every few hours, blows hot air in every state it visits, and keeps making tall claims?’ there is no need to strain oneself to find the answer. Everyone can identify him in a flash. An experienced person once said, ‘Everyone should have a wife. A man who is not troubled by his wife troubles the entire country’. When I thought about it, it seemed true. No one can run a country based on how many inches wide their chest is or how big their mouth is. Only someone with a broad heart, ethics, honesty, and commitment can govern. As soon as an innocent journalist spotted a representative of the ruling party, he went up and asked a question. ‘What do you think are the reasons for unemployment in India, the falling value of the rupee, and the country reaching the bottom of the global hunger index?’ The ruling party representative glared at him. ‘Look, you are asking a question related to politics that distracts people. It would be better if you got straight to the real issue and asked about Hindus and Muslims’, he said, scrunching up his face like a lotus.
● Promises thrown to the wind – foreign tours.
You may dip a biscuit in your tea and eat it, but here in our country, there is a man who dips the entire country into his tea and consumes it. He keeps calling himself a tea seller. If you ever come face-to-face with him, try asking him this. ‘Sir, please tell us once again about the black money in foreign banks, Achhe Din, the Gujarat model, two crore jobs, fifteen lakh rupees in our accounts, cheaper petrol and diesel, reduced cooking gas prices, and so on and so forth’. He will immediately fly off to foreign countries. Is our Prime Minister a full-time Prime Minister or a part-time one? He cannot even visit neighboring Manipur and return, yet he keeps touring foreign countries. It would be good if some organization calculated how many days he has actually spent steadily in the country, focusing on its problems.
It is true that alcohol has ruined some families. But what has the tea seller’s tea done? The entire country has been drained of its strength. In this government, everyone will get their turn one after another. Why the hurry? Agniveer, Shikshaveer, Chikitsaveer, Railwayveer, Bankveer, and finally, the most important scheme of all, Fakir.
● Slogans of progress while living in the past.
Raising and nurturing a tiger is not particularly difficult because a tiger remains a tiger. The real difficulty lies in trying to make a donkey painted in bright colors stand like a tiger. First, the paint will not last. Besides, a donkey will not behave like a tiger. Doesn’t the donkey that struts around confidently, posing like a tiger, know that it is a donkey? While the world is sending rockets into space and bringing back people who have spent months in space, here in this country, the government is going back three hundred years and digging up graves. What great vision! What magnificent governance! You might find anything that has been swept away into the sea, but that particular person’s degree, you know, will never be found. ‘When a country’s government becomes mired in corruption and degenerates, the value of that country’s currency falls just as much in the global market’. These are not our words; they are words spoken by Modi himself in 2014. I wonder whether he has checked where the rupee stood in 2024, during his own tenure.
● Here, we need to discuss another important matter.
A list has been released of prominent individuals who looted banks in our country and fled abroad. There are 32 people on that list. Not even one of them is a Muslim. Yet, for some reason, people keep claiming that Muslims pose a danger to the country. We should think about this a little, shouldn’t we? When a Muslim poet wrote the song ‘Saare Jahan Se Achha’, he did not write about Mecca and Medina. He wrote, ‘Hindustan Hamara’, didn’t he? Now you are demanding certificates of allegiance and evidence from those very people. Do you understand where justice has hidden itself in this matter?
● The value of education – blind imitation.
As responsible citizens, each of us must think about the kind of political party that teaches you to fight not with living human beings but with the dead and with graves, and what kind of future such a party can offer this country. Our neighboring country, China, is living in the future. Our country’s leaders are telling us to live in the past. Can our leaders, who keep drumming on about development, compete with China’s progress? It is difficult even to imagine, isn’t it? If they have achieved so much development, why would they award China a contract worth hundreds of thousands of crores to manufacture the statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel? This is something worth noting. ‘These days, it has become fashionable for everyone to keep saying Ambedkar, Ambedkar’, the Home Minister of this country made a mocking comment in Parliament. Ambedkar gave this country its Constitution. He had thirty-two degrees. He knew nine languages. The world recognized him as a symbol of knowledge. Now, these uneducated leaders of our country are finding fault with the Constitution. How can people without values, and those who do not understand values, know what is what? Everything seems the same to them. Observing the state of the country, an experienced person remarked, ‘Education has been interrupted halfway. Highways have stalled halfway. But when it comes to making empty boasts, there is never any slowing down, anywhere, halfway through. It is always full, full, and complete’.
● Time to thwart conspiracies.
While friends were sitting together chatting, one of them said, ‘There is a world of difference between earning recognition by wearing out your shoes, sweating, and working hard, and earning recognition by licking boots’. The friends wondered, ‘Was he saying something about Savarkar?’ Just then, a man who had recently arrived in the city from a village said, ‘In our village, gentlemen, nobody would even rent a house to a man who abandoned his wife. But you have handed the country over to someone like that and are sitting back. What else can you do now? Enjoy the consequences’, he said, suddenly getting up and walking away. These days, wherever any four people gather, this is the kind of conversation they have. Apparently, while eating, Modi suddenly asked, ‘Where is my spoon?’ That was all it took for Sambit Patra, who was sitting outside, to rush into the BJP spokesperson’s room and stand there. ‘Here I am, sir, right here’, he said. On another occasion, he made another claim. ‘Many of you must have seen the portrait of Maharani Jhansi Lakshmibai, haven’t you? There is a boy on her back. Many people may not know who that boy is. That boy is none other than our Bala Narendra. In other words, Narendra Modi himself’. It was none other than BJP spokesperson Sambit Patra who revealed that secret too. That is the level of his sycophancy. Just as all the previous taxes were removed and a single Goods and Services Tax (GST) was introduced across the country, why can’t we eliminate the earlier divisions of caste, religion, ethnicity, and region and bring a single identity, Indian-ness, into common use? We, ordinary citizens, can take the initiative to do that, can’t we? Think about why we should nurture and deepen divisions among ourselves. In this way, we have an opportunity to thwart the conspiracies of those in power, don’t we?
