Kapra: Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy said he would work for the welfare of journalists. He attended the oath-taking ceremony of the newly elected Kapra Press Club executive committee as the chief guest. The programme was held on Thursday at Bhavani Nagar Community Hall in the AS Rao Nagar Division. Speaking on the occasion, Lakshma Reddy said he would always be accessible to journalists and assured that he would strive to resolve the issues faced by them if they bring the problems to his notice. He said journalists have the responsibility to inform society with facts and report the truth fearlessly. Former Uppal MLA and BJP leader Bethi Subhash Reddy said he has maintained a close association with journalists in the Uppal constituency since the Telangana movement period. He said journalists play a key role in highlighting public issues and assured continued support to them. Former Cherlapally corporator Bonthu Sridevi advised journalists to maintain neutrality in reporting news. She said leaders would extend assistance whenever journalists face difficulties. Former Kapra corporator Swarna Raju Shivamani said journalists have widely publicised development and welfare activities carried out over the past decade and their support has been valuable in public service. BRS state leader Singireddy Somasekhar Reddy said he has maintained cordial relations with Kapra journalists since his student days and assured his support for their welfare. Oath-Taking of New Executive Committee
Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy administered the oath of office to the newly elected Kapra Press Club committee members. Empalli Padma Reddy and Belide Ashok were appointed as chief advisors. Merugu Chandramohan took oath as president. Yavapuram Ravi, Dommati Kiran Kumar, Garlapati Srinivas Rao and Govindakuntla Anjaneyulu assumed charge as vice presidents. Mutyam Mukesh Goud became general secretary. D. Srinivas and K. Venkat took charge as joint secretaries. O. Narasimha and Keerthi Srinivas were sworn in as organising secretaries.
