Kushaiguda: A 62-year-old man died after sustaining a fatal injury during a morning walk under the limits of Kushaiguda Police Station on Wednesday.

The deceased, Kongi Mariyappa, a resident of Valvar Nagar, Ammuguda, reportedly slipped and fell while trying to shoo away two stray dogs. During the fall, he suffered a severe neck injury after hitting a stone.
Family members rushed him to a nearby hospital in an ambulance, but he lost consciousness on the way. Doctors at Poulomi Hospital declared him brought dead.
Based on a complaint lodged by his son, Kongi Daniel, Kushaiguda Police registered a case and initiated an investigation. The family stated that they have no suspicion regarding the death.
