School Director highlights the importance of teachers in shaping students’ lives
Ramagundam, July 29: Guru Purnima was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Don English Medium School, Tilak Nagar, Godavarikhani, in Ramagundam Mandal of Peddapalli district.
Speaking on the occasion, School Director Gunda Rajayya explained the significance of Guru Purnima and emphasised that, after parents, a teacher is the most selfless guide in a child’s life. He expressed concern over the portrayal of teachers in some films, saying it diminishes the respect and dignity of the teaching profession. Quoting the traditional verse, “Guru Brahma, Guru Vishnu, Guru Devo Maheshwara,” he urged students to honour and respect their teachers.
Teachers also addressed the students, sharing inspiring messages and extending their blessings. During the programme, Principal Shirley Mathew and teachers Injan Sambasiva Rao, Rajitha Srinivas, Rajitha Kumar, Akhila, Surabhi, and Lavanya were felicitated by the students.
