Alleges 12 shops were demolished without prior notice; MLA K.P. Vivekanand assures support
Hyderabad: The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has demanded justice for street vendors whose shops were allegedly demolished by CMC Town Planning officials at Shapur Nagar, near Rajiv Park.
According to the party, around 12 small shops, which had been providing livelihood to poor vendors for several years, were demolished without prior notice. BRS leaders described the action as inhuman and said it had left several families without a source of income.
After learning about the incident, BRS Division President Puppala Bhaskar visited the site, interacted with the affected vendors, and assured them of the party’s support. The matter was later brought to the attention of Quthbullapur MLA K.P. Vivekanand, who reportedly spoke to municipal officials and assured that steps would be taken to ensure justice for the affected vendors.
Puppala Bhaskar criticised the demolition, stating that removing the shops without notice or providing an alternative arrangement was unjust. He said the BRS would continue to support the affected street vendors until they received justice.
