Routes to reach the Ganesh immersion point and traffic guidelines – CP Sunil Dutt’s key announcement.

On the occasion of Ganesh immersion, Khammam commissioner of police have issued special guidelines to ensure that devotees, Ganesh mandap organizers, and motorists face no inconvenience. Police advised that Ganesh idols coming to the immersion point from various areas should travel only along the designated routes and, after immersion, follow the specified one-way routes on their return journey.

● Routes to the immersion point.

Ganesh idols coming from Rural Mandal, Raparthi Nagar, BC Colony, Vegetable Market, RR School Area, New Bus Stand, Sai Baba Arch, RTA Office Area, Bank Colony, Disabled Colony, Ballepalli, Khanapuram, Tekulapalli, and New Vision College side should reach NTR Circle via the bypass, and from there proceed via Illandu X Road, Government Hospital, ZP Center, Cheruvu Bazaar, Bonakal X Road, Church Compound, Mustafa Nagar, Sambaninagar, Raghava Medicals, and Sriram Hills to the Damsalapuram Lake immersion point.
Vehicles coming from Pumping Well Road, Gandhinagar, Motinagar, PSR Road, Gandhi Chowk, Saradhinagar, and Bokkalgadda areas should reach the immersion point via Nayabazar, Jubilee Club, Mayuri Center, Mamillegudem, Buranpuram, Bus Depot Area, Kaman Bazaar, Kasba Bazaar, Kinnera Center, ZP Center, Cheruvu Bazaar, and Church Compound.
Idols coming from Sri Sri Circle, Srinagar Colony, Rotary Nagar, Indiranagar, Old Mamata Medical College, Mamata X Road, Kaviraju Nagar, the area behind the Old Collectorate, Gattayya Center, Bank Colony, and Videos Colony should reach ZP Center via Illandu X Road and proceed to the immersion point via Church Compound.
Ganesh idols coming from Venkategiri X Road, Srinivasa Nagar, Grain Market Area, Prakash Nagar, Guttala Bazaar, Zaheerpur Thanda, and the Ayyappa Swamy Temple area should reach Church Compound via the main road and from there proceed to the immersion point.
Idols coming from Gollagudem, Madhuranagar, Raghavayya Nagar, Mamata College, Harvest School Area, Allipuram, Kothagudem, and Allipuram X Road areas should reach the immersion point via Tata Motors, Cheruvu Bazaar, and Church Compound.
Idols coming from Bonakal X Road, Church Compound, Police Headquarters, Mission Hospital Area, Mustafa Nagar, Sambani Nagar, Parikamukkala Colony, Sriram Nagar, and Sriram Hills areas should reach the immersion point via the main road.

● Return routes after immersion.

After immersion, people and vehicles should reach the Jayashankar statue from the immersion point. Those heading towards Prakash Nagar, Srinivasa Nagar, Zaheerpur Thanda, Ayyappa Temple, and Venkategiri X Road can cross the Damsalapuram Bridge and, from underneath the bridge, proceed through Damsalapuram village via SVM School, Srinivasa Nagar, Ayyappa Temple, and Prakash Nagar, and reach their destinations through the main road.
Those heading towards Mustafa Nagar, Mamata Road, Illandu X Road, NTR Circle, Ballepalli, Mamillegudem, New Bus Stand, Raparthi Nagar, and rural areas should cross the road near Sriram Hills and Raghava Medicals from the Jayashankar statue and reach Allipuram X Road via Parikamukkala Colony. From there, they can proceed via Tata Motors, Lakaram, Mamata X Road, Indiranagar, Sri Sri, and reach the bypass to go to their destinations.

● One-way traffic is mandatory.

Police stated that after Ganesh immersion, only one-way traffic will be allowed on the routes leading out from the immersion point. Devotees, Ganesh mandap organizers, and motorists were advised to learn the alternative routes in advance and cooperate with the traffic police. They urged everyone to follow police instructions to help control traffic congestion and ensure the safety of devotees during the immersion.
