Vinay Krishna Reddy Reviews Civic Works, Street Lighting and Ganesh Immersion Arrangements

Malkajgiri, September 19, 2026: Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy, IAS, conducted an extensive field inspection in Moulali and Malkajgiri circles on Saturday and reviewed various civic works and arrangements.

In Moulali Ward, the Commissioner inspected the storage of Shell Mac bags used for road patchwork, the stock of new street lights and the maintenance of other equipment. He directed officials to ensure that available materials are utilised at the required locations on time and that all equipment is properly maintained.

At Venkateshwara Nagar, the Commissioner interacted with local residents and enquired about difficulties caused by inadequate street lighting at night. He instructed the concerned officials to install the required street lights to improve public safety, visibility and convenience during night hours.

The Commissioner inspected ongoing tree branch removal and bucket ladder operations on Deen Dayal Nagar Road. He reviewed the availability of field staff, utilisation of manpower and proper use of bucket ladder equipment. Officials were instructed to remove branches obstructing traffic and public movement on major roads and road margins without delay.

Later, the Commissioner inspected the Banda Cheruvu Baby Pond in Malkajgiri Circle and reviewed the arrangements and facilities provided for Ganesh immersion. He directed officials to ensure that all required facilities remain available round the clock during the immersion period and that all concerned departments work in coordination.

He emphasised public safety, smooth traffic movement, crowd management and the convenience of devotees. Officials were instructed to continuously monitor and maintain the arrangements until the immersion period concludes.

The Commissioner also directed officials to focus on effective utilisation of manpower, inter-departmental coordination and timely completion of civic works.
