Former Corporator Bonthu Sridevi Yadav assures to pursue sanction of funds

Medchal – Malkajgiri, July 9: Residents of Nagarjuna Nagar Colony in Kushaiguda Division submitted a representation to former corporator Bonthu Sridevi Yadav, seeking a permanent solution to the longstanding underground drainage problem in the colony.

Members of the Colony Welfare Association stated that the old drainage pipeline serving Road Nos. 1 to 6 frequently overflows, causing severe inconvenience to residents and creating unhygienic conditions. They pointed out that officials of the Water Board had already conducted a survey and recommended the laying of a 1.2-km new underground drainage line, but the work has not yet commenced.

Responding to the representation, Bonthu Sridevi Yadav assured the residents that she would take up the issue with the concerned authorities and make efforts to secure the required funds so that the new drainage works could be taken up at the earliest.

The programme was attended by Colony Welfare Association General Secretary Mogili Karunakar Reddy, Vice-President Gopal Yadav, Joint Secretaries Bairagoni Venkatesh Goud, Erpula Sai Vivek, Bhanu Prakash, Tadaka Venkatesh, Raju Goud, and other residents.
