Selections and Tournaments for Under-14 and Under-17 Students at Boduppal Government School
Boduppal, September 21: Volleyball and Kho-Kho selections and tournaments for Under-14 and Under-17 boys and girls will be conducted on September 22 and 23 at the Boduppal Zilla Parishad High School under the aegis of the SGF Ghatkesar Zone.
Former corporator Singireddy Padma Reddy extended financial assistance of ₹20,000 towards the conduct of the sporting events and related arrangements. The amount was handed over to school headmaster G. Ashok Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Singireddy Padma Reddy said many talented sportspersons were unable to come forward due to a lack of proper opportunities. He said organising volleyball and Kho-Kho selections and tournaments would provide students with an opportunity to showcase their talent and encouraged them to make use of the opportunity.
The school headmaster called upon students from across Boduppal Circle to participate in the selections and demonstrate their sporting abilities. He thanked Singireddy Padma Reddy for providing ₹20,000 towards the conduct of the events and encouraged political and business leaders to extend financial support for sporting activities and the development of young athletes.
Zilla Parishad High School Boduppal headmaster, physical director Vidyasagar, senior teacher P. Venkateshwar, Congress leaders Singireddy Rajireddy and Ramu, among others, participated in the programme.
