Says High Court observations expose administrative failures and seeks judicial probe into demolition drives

UPPAL MLA BANDARI LAKSHMA REDDY

Hyderabad: Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy has demanded the immediate removal of HYDRAA Commissioner A.V. Ranganath, alleging that the Telangana High Court’s observations on the Commissioner’s functioning have exposed the Congress government’s administrative failures.

Addressing the media, the BRS legislator alleged that HYDRAA had carried out demolition drives without following due legal procedures, adversely affecting poor and middle-class families. He claimed the agency’s actions had raised serious concerns over the misuse of authority.

Lakshma Reddy urged the state government to dismiss the Commissioner and order an independent judicial inquiry or a High Court-monitored probe into the demolition drives and the alleged abuse of power. He also alleged that several contempt of court cases had been registered in connection with HYDRAA’s actions.

The MLA called on the government to implement the High Court’s directions and ensure the protection of citizens’ constitutional rights.
