Heavy Rain Alert in Telangana, 48-Hour High Alert..!!

Both Telugu states are being lashed by heavy rains, with Telangana facing the most severe impact. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, there is a high chance of heavy to very heavy rainfall across Telangana today and tomorrow. Red and orange alerts have been issued for several districts.

● Districts likely to be affected include.

Mulugu, Karimnagar, Vikarabad, Nirmal, Bhupalpally, Kamareddy, Sangareddy, Siddipet, Medak, Wanaparthy, Nagarkurnool, Jagtial, Mahabubabad, Nizamabad, Warangal and Sirisilla. Authorities have issued multiple warnings to the public, advising people not to step out unless absolutely necessary. In Hyderabad, very heavy rainfall is expected, with continuous downpours likely to last for the next 48 hours. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has alerted officials, instructing them to closely monitor flood-prone areas across Telangana. He emphasized the need for regular reviews and ordered that people in flood-affected regions be shifted to relief camps if required. The electricity department has been directed to ensure uninterrupted power supply, remove dangling wires and prevent accidents. In Hyderabad, GHMC, Hyderabad city police, NDRF, and SDRF teams have been placed on high alert in flood-vulnerable areas.
