KEESARA, JUNE 30: Leaders of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) (CPM) have urged the Telangana Government to strengthen healthcare and educational infrastructure in Keesara Mandal by addressing staff shortages and improving basic facilities in government institutions. A CPM delegation led by Medchal–Malkajgiri District Secretary P. Satyam, District Secretariat Member Erra Ashok, and Keesara Mandal Convener Bangaru Narsing Rao visited the Government Primary Health Centre (PHC) and the Government High School in Keesara to assess the existing facilities and interact with officials. During the visit to the PHC, Medical Officer Dr. Manuja Reddy informed the delegation that the hospital attends to around 80–90 outpatients daily and records 15–20 deliveries every month. However, due to ongoing renovation works, delivery cases are currently being referred to Malkajgiri District Hospital and Ghatkesar PHC. She also pointed out the shortage of staff nurses and the absence of a watchman, which creates operational challenges, particularly during night hours. Responding to the issues, CPM leaders demanded the appointment of additional staff nurses and the establishment of another Primary Health Centre in the Bandlaguda–Ahmedguda area to cater to the growing population of nearly 80,000. They said the matter would be taken up with the District Collector and the State Government and warned of agitation if the issues remain unresolved. The delegation also inspected the Government High School, where they raised concerns over inadequate sanitation facilities. They demanded the immediate completion of partially constructed toilets under the Mana Ooru–Mana Badi programme, appointment of qualified teachers for Hindi and Social Studies, recruitment of a Computer Teacher, installation of a borewell, provision of safe drinking water through an RO purification plant, and improvement in the quality of the Mid-Day Meal Scheme as per the prescribed menu. CPM leaders called on the State Government to allocate special funds on a priority basis to improve healthcare and educational infrastructure in Keesara Mandal and ensure quality public services for residents.
