Alwal, June 30: As part of the Cooperative Week celebrations being observed from June 29 to July 6, 2026, the Syndicate Farmers Service Cooperative Society, Alwal, organised an awareness programme to educate farmers and cooperative members about the benefits of the cooperative movement. Speaking on the occasion, R. Surekha Rani, Joint Registrar, highlighted the importance of cooperative laws, regulations, and the various benefits available to farmers through cooperative societies. She also urged members to expedite Farmer Producer Organisation (FPO) membership registration to strengthen farmer collectives. The programme was attended by G. Srinivas, District Cooperative Officer, Medchal–Malkajgiri; Thota Gopal Reddy, Chairman of the Society; R.M.V. Anand Rao, Assistant Registrar; along with society members and farmers. The speakers encouraged greater participation in cooperative activities to promote sustainable agricultural development and improve farmers’ livelihoods.
