Hyderabad: Dommati Shivakumar, State President of Chhatrapati Sainik Dal, was conferred with the prestigious Mahatma Jyotiba Phule National Award at a grand awards ceremony organised by the Bahujan Sahitya Academy on Sunday at Sundarayya Vignana Kendram, Hyderabad.
The award was presented by Telangana Minister Adluri Laxman, who attended the event as the chief guest. He congratulated Shivakumar for his outstanding contributions to society and wished him continued success in his public service initiatives.
Speaking on the occasion, Bahujan Sahitya Academy Founder and National President Nalla Radhakrishna said the award was presented in recognition of Dommati Shivakumar’s distinguished services in the Telangana movement, promotion of education, social justice, empowerment of Bahujan communities, youth awareness, and various public welfare activities.
Accepting the honour, Dommati Shivakumar said the award was not merely a personal recognition but a tribute to every individual dedicated to serving society. He reaffirmed his commitment to the ideals of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, stating that he would continue working with greater dedication towards social equality, educational development, and the welfare of underprivileged and marginalised communities.
The ceremony was attended by prominent dignitaries, social activists, literary personalities, and members of the public.
