Pending Issues to Be Resolved Quickly to Accelerate Project Works: MMC Commissioner
Malkajgiri, September 19, 2026: A review meeting was held at the Malkajgiri Zonal Office under the chairmanship of Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation Commissioner Vinay Krishna Reddy, IAS, to review the progress of the RK Puram Flyover ROB/RUB project and accelerate its implementation.
Officials briefed the Commissioner on the works to be taken up under the project, progress achieved so far, pending issues and the procedures related to owners of properties affected by the project.
The meeting discussed in detail the TDR applications, consent and other procedures involving affected property owners. The Commissioner directed officials to coordinate with property owners, identify pending issues and expedite the necessary steps for their resolution.
He instructed the Town Planning, Engineering, Legal and other departments to strengthen coordination and ensure that pending matters in one department do not hinder the overall progress of the project. Officials were directed to work in coordination and resolve issues within the stipulated time.
The Commissioner also directed officials to hold necessary discussions with affected property owners and complete the consent and TDR application processes expeditiously as per the prescribed rules. Pending cases should be examined individually and appropriate further action should be decided for each case, he said.
The Commissioner stated that completion of the RK Puram Flyover ROB/RUB project is expected to improve traffic movement in the area, reduce travel time and contribute to better road safety and urban transportation. He directed officials to ensure that all project-related processes are taken forward efficiently.
He further instructed officials to conduct regular reviews of the project, complete the prescribed procedures at the earliest, resolve pending issues and take measures to achieve significant progress in the works.
The Commissioner emphasised that all concerned departments should continue working in coordination and take necessary steps to move the RK Puram ROB/RUB project forward.
Zonal Commissioner Sanchit Gangwar, IAS, Chief City Planner (CCP) Pradeep Kumar, Chief Engineer (CE) Srinivas Rao, and officials from the Town Planning, Engineering and Legal departments attended the meeting.
