Students Should Make Sports Part of Their Lives: Singireddy Padma Reddy
Boduppal, September 22: Volleyball and Kho-Kho selections and tournaments for Under-14 and Under-17 boys and girls began at the Boduppal Zilla Parishad High School under the aegis of the School Games Federation of India, Ghatkesar Zone.
Boduppal Circle Deputy Commissioner Shailaja, school headmaster G. Ashok Kumar, former corporator Singireddy Padma Reddy and Congress leader Kotha Kiran Goud, among others, attended the inaugural programme and formally launched the sporting events.
Speaking on the occasion, Singireddy Padma Reddy said sports were essential for students along with education. He said participation in sports helps improve physical health, mental well-being and concentration.
He encouraged students to make sports a part of their daily lives and urged them to pursue their sporting interests with hard work and determination to develop into athletes at the national level.
Zilla Parishad High School Boduppal physical director Vidyasagar, senior teachers P. Venkateshwar, Rajireddy, Ramu and others participated in the programme.
