Police launch surveillance initiative and conduct public awareness programme on community safety.
Medchal – Malkajgiri, July 6: As part of the Mee Suraksha / Nenu Saitham 2.0 initiative, police inaugurated 105 CCTV cameras at various locations under the Jawaharnagar Police Station limits in the Malkajgiri Commissionerate on Sunday.
The CCTV cameras were inaugurated by Malkajgiri Zone DCP CH Sridhar, IPS, along with Jawaharnagar ACP Chakrapani and the Inspector of Jawaharnagar Police Station. The installations were carried out at Saket Colony, Om Sree Pruthvi Apartments, Kowkoor, Sai Krupa Colony and Sarkar Mandi on Dammaiguda Main Road.
Following the inauguration, police conducted an awareness programme highlighting the importance of CCTV surveillance in crime prevention, investigation and public safety. Residents were encouraged to install CCTV cameras in their neighbourhoods to strengthen community policing and assist law enforcement agencies.
The programme was attended by Sub-Inspectors MD. Idris Ali, B. Venu Madhav, B. Mamatha, M. Mounika, along with patrol and Blue Colts personnel, who also interacted with residents and promoted awareness on the benefits of CCTV surveillance.
