100 CCTV Cameras Inaugurated Under ‘Nenu Saitham 2.0’ in KUSHAIGUDA

Police create awareness on surveillance, cyber safety and community participation in crime prevention.

Medchal – Malkajgiri, July 6: As part of the Nenu Saitham 2.0 initiative, 100 CCTV cameras were inaugurated in Bhaskar Rao Nagar and Sonia Gandhi Nagar colonies during a community meeting aimed at strengthening public safety and crime prevention.

During the programme, police officials explained the importance of CCTV surveillance, proper maintenance of the cameras, and their crucial role in crime prevention, investigation and evidence collection. Residents were encouraged to install CCTV cameras in their localities to assist police in improving crime detection and ensuring safer neighbourhoods.

The residents who installed the CCTV cameras were felicitated for their contribution to community security. Police also cited examples of previous criminal investigations in which CCTV footage played a key role, urging more colonies to adopt similar surveillance systems.

An awareness session on cybercrime was also conducted, during which residents were advised on precautions to avoid online fraud and cyber offences.
