Narsampet, After learning about the death of RTC driver Shankar Goud of Narsampet Depot, leaders visited his native village Muttojipet on Sunday and met his family members to offer condolences. BC Associations National President Jajula Srinivas Goud described the death of Shankar Goud as a martyrdom and demanded that the government provide an ex-gratia of ₹1 crore to the bereaved family. RTC BC Association Founder Niranjan said the government and RTC management should not limit their response to paperwork and must immediately provide a job to one family member. He also demanded allocation of land and construction of a house for the family. Kushaiguda Depot Honorary President Gaddam Yadagiri said the death of Shankar Goud is deeply unfortunate. He stated that the government responding to RTC employees’ issues and taking steps that benefit around 39,000 families is a positive development. He assured that he would take up the matter with authorities to ensure sanction of an Indiramma house and a job for one family member at the earliest, considering the family’s financial difficulties. Kushaiguda Depot President Chira Upender, General Secretary Thodeti Srinivas, Working President Surender, along with Bandi Swamy, Krishna and others were present during the visit.
