
Boduppal, As part of the 99-day action plan under the Praja Palana Pragathi Programme, massive vector control activities were successfully carried out on Day 53 in Ramakrishna Nagar and Indiranagar colonies under the Boduppal Circle, said AMOH Dr. Chaitanya Kumar in an official statement. Deputy Commissioner Shailaja attended the programme as chief guest and urged residents to take preventive measures ahead of the upcoming monsoon season. She advised the public to avoid water stagnation in and around their homes and to observe one day every week as a “Dry Day” to prevent mosquito breeding. As part of mosquito control measures, activities including removal of aquatic weed from ponds, application of oil balls, spraying of anti-larval chemicals, and regular fogging operations in colonies are being carried out continuously across the area. Officials including AMOH Dr. Chaitanya Kumar, DEE Jahnavi Shashank, AE Mahesh, Assistant Entomologists Rambabu and Naresh Reddy, along with field assistants, entomology staff, and local residents participated in the programme.
