SHO Narasimha Reddy outlines roadmap on road safety, crime prevention, and public awareness

Shamirpet, June 30: Shamirpet Police Station organised an interactive meeting with representatives of the print and electronic media on Tuesday under the leadership of Station House Officer (SHO) Narasimha Reddy to strengthen coordination between the police and the media. During the meeting, the SHO interacted with media representatives and discussed the media’s vital role in disseminating timely and accurate information, fostering police-public cooperation, and addressing public grievances through effective communication. Highlighting road safety measures, Narasimha Reddy said the police have initiated a special action plan to reduce road accidents in the Shamirpet Police Station limits. He said accident-prone black spots are being identified in coordination with the concerned departments, and corrective measures such as improving road engineering, installing warning signboards, speed breakers, road markings, and streetlights will be taken to minimise accidents. The SHO also stressed the importance of public participation in combating drug abuse, ensuring traffic discipline, enhancing the safety of women and children, creating awareness on cybercrime, maintaining law and order, and preventing crime. He assured that the Shamirpet Police would remain accessible to the public and appealed to the media to continue supporting the department by spreading awareness and promoting public safety initiatives. Media representatives appreciated the police department’s citizen-centric initiatives and assured their continued cooperation in serving the public.
