Cherlapally Police register case; investigation underway

CHERLAPALLY, JUNE 30: A 33-year-old supervisor was killed in a road accident after a GHMC tipper lorry allegedly rammed his motorcycle from behind near Bhagawan Colony in the Cherlapally police station limits on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Gajula Santhosh (33), a supervisor with NPT Travels. He was residing at Bapuji Nagar, Nagaram, Keesara Mandal, and was a native of Jogapur village, Chandurthi Mandal, Rajanna Sircilla district. According to police, Santhosh was riding his Hero Glamour motorcycle (Registration No. TS23F3183) from Nagaram towards Chakripuram. At around 4:38 p.m., when he reached near ART Furniture Shop in Bhagawan Colony, a GHMC tipper lorry (Registration No. AP20TB6678) allegedly being driven at high speed and in a rash and negligent manner struck the motorcycle from behind. The impact threw Santhosh onto the road, causing fatal injuries. He died on the spot. Police identified the tipper lorry driver as Mogili Mallesh, son of Veeraiah. A case has been registered based on a complaint lodged by the victim’s younger brother, Gajula Akshay Kumar (23). Cherlapally Police have launched an investigation, and further legal action is being taken in accordance with the law.
