Recently, a herd of elephants roamed in Chinnagottigallu mandal and Pakala mandal of Chandragiri constituency and created ruckus. Taking the matter seriously after a farmer Siddhayya died in Chinnagottigallu mandal in this elephant attack, Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan ordered to form an Elephant Task Force. Under the leadership of conservator of forest Tirupati circle,Selvam formed Elephant Task Force and with his guidance Tirupati DFO Vivek went into action, on Wednesday chased the herd of elephants into the Devarakonda forest beat within the Bhakarapet forest area and safely chased them away. With this program undertaken by the forest officials, the villagers near the forest area breathed a sigh of relief.
