Dr Vishal stated that a rare heart surgery was performed at Yashoda Hospital in Secunderabad. Speaking at a press meet held at Hanamkonda Yashoda Hospital, he said that Badru Naik, a resident of Aminabad near Narsampet, came to Yashoda Hospital, Secunderabad in the month of June. He was unable to breathe properly and showed symptoms of heart failure such as palpitations. He was so weak that he couldn’t even go to the bathroom. A heart scan revealed that one of his heart valves was leaking and a major muscle in the heart had ruptured. Because of this, he was suffering from severe heart failure. They conducted MRI and other advanced tests on him.
After the tests, they realized it was one of the rarest cases in the world, and the patient was in critical condition. They explained the situation to his family members. With prayers, they proceeded with the surgery. During the operation, they replaced his heart valve and repaired the ruptured connection inside the heart. Dr. Vishal said that the patient recovered very well after the surgery and is now able to work hard in agriculture.
He added that a patient who was on the brink of death had come to them with hope, and they were able to save him through surgery. They carefully planned the procedure and learned valuable insights from this rare case. Worldwide, cases where a major heart muscle ruptures are extremely rare. In most cases, the muscle tears into the heart chamber, but they were able to manage this complex condition successfully at Yashoda Hospital. He further stated that Yashoda Hospitals routinely handle complex heart cases with good outcomes and also perform lung transplants.
Speaking on the occasion, Badru Naik who attended the press meet after recovering from the heart surgery said that he had visited many hospitals in Warangal and Khammam and everywhere he was told that he would not survive. No one assured him that he could live. Through an RMP doctor, he went to Yashoda Hospital in Hyderabad, where he met Dr Vishal, whom he described as a godlike figure. Dr Vishal examined him, gave him courage, performed the surgery and saved his life. He said that today he is able to do all his work, including farming and is living happily with his family, who see the doctor as their savior. Badru Naik, his wife, Yashoda Hospitals PRD Raj Kumar and Dr Vishal participated in the press meet.
