Floral tributes offered at Mallapur Elephant Junction; MLA recalls the Telangana martyr’s struggle against feudal oppression and forced labour

Medchal – Malkajgiri, July 4: Uppal MLA Bandari Lakshma Reddy paid floral tributes to the statue of Telangana martyr Doddi Komuraiah at Elephant Junction in Mallapur on the occasion of his 80th death anniversary. Former corporators Jeripothula Prabhudas, Pannala Devender Reddy, and Gundarapu Srinivas Reddy, along with local leaders and party workers, also participated in the programme. Speaking on the occasion, the MLA described Doddi Komuraiah as a legendary figure in Telangana’s history who fought against the oppressive rule of feudal landlords and worked tirelessly for the abolition of the vetti (forced labour) system. He said Komuraiah’s sacrifice and commitment to social justice continue to inspire future generations. Local leaders including Hamali Srinivas, Usman, Alladi Krishna Yadav, Ellesh Yadav, Yadagiri, Narsing Rao, Srisailam, Bakkayya, Gattayya, Ramulu, and others were present at the tribute programme.
