At Singareni Bharosa Yatra, BJP MP says Centre is committed to reviving coal major and protecting workers’ interests

Ramagundam, July 14: BJP MP Etala Rajender alleged that the previous BRS government led by K. Chandrashekar Rao was responsible for the present financial and operational challenges faced by Singareni Collieries.

Addressing a public meeting at Ramagundam as part of the Singareni Bharosa Yatra, Etala said the Centre, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, was taking steps to revive Singareni and safeguard the interests of coal mine workers. He stated that Union Coal Minister G. Kishan Reddy was making sincere efforts to strengthen the organisation, including the allocation of the Tadicherla-II coal block.

The BJP leader recalled the role played by Singareni workers during the Telangana movement and said they had made significant sacrifices for the formation of the State. He alleged that Singareni, once a financially strong organisation, had been pushed into debt during the previous BRS regime.

Etala also highlighted various Central Government initiatives, including the revival of the Ramagundam Fertiliser Plant, development of National Highways and railway infrastructure, and said the BJP was committed to restoring Singareni to its former glory. He assured workers that the party would continue to work for their welfare and the growth of the organisation.
